When you have a moment, please read this article. A Bully Finds A Pulpit on the Web It’s 8 pages long, so it may take a few minutes, but we’ll wait.
Interesting, isn’t it? It’s amazing that any business person who treats his or her customers like that still gets business. And yet, in a way, the man is a twisted genius, as the article’s author alludes to.
One of the core foundations of Evolve Systems is our commitment to “outrageous customer service”. While the term ‘outrageous’ can have negative connotations, largely it’s a very positive term. It’s a strong rhetorical way of saying that “Evolve Systems is dedicated to the absolutely best customer service you will find…anywhere.” We maintain constant contact with our customers, continually update our knowledgebase articles, and have several active staff monitoring our HelpDesk at all times. When a problem occurs, we communicate with our clients as soon as we know about the problem. Basically, if there is ever a problem, Evolve Systems will fix it.
Increasingly one of the focuses of Evolve Systems has been our Website Maintenance Plans, and we focus strongly on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), or, helping businesses achieve strong rankings on search engines. This is normally accomplished through strong content writing, creating links between websites, and engaging the world with social media, amongst other things. While the SEO field is broad, with many different opinions and alliances, largely the consensus has been that SEO is a force for good, strong Internet marketing through positive word of mouth (or word of type).
What Vitaly Borker does, though, is the exact opposite, and reveals a glaring problem with SEO that Google has already actively begun fighting. Negative comments should not necessarily generate positive search rankings. If the website that shows up #1 in Google for a term is a website that is anti that term, something is off. Those of us who work with SEO and clients are grateful this story has come out, and that Google and other companies are actively trying to fix this issue.
SEO is nothing to be afraid of. However, SEO is also not perfect. There is no magic behind SEO, but there are proven techniques, much as there are with any sales field. Evolve Systems is committed to providing our customers with quality, transparent, and marketable SEO results.
And please. Be careful buying online. Many websites can be trusted, but there are a few that can’t. Use the tools and resources available to you to search out companies and prove them trustworthy. And then tell your friends and everyone else around you about what a wonderful experience you had buying from this company or using the services of that company. And that right there is the basis of positive SEO.
