2010  Open Lab Time at Evolve Systems

Open Lab Time gives our customers the opportunity to come to our facilities and use our training laptops so you can work on your website or Internet Applications with one of our trained technical experts to assist you. The time is open and yours, and you can work on anything you want to. We will provide a laptop for you to use. (But of course, you can bring your own if you would like and access our wireless network). Our goal is to provide you with outrageous customer service, assistance in a time frame that may work better with your busy schedule, and the chance to meet other successful business owners.
It is highly encouraged for you to have attended one of our Training Sessions before coming to Open Lab Time. Our support can only go as far as your prior knowledge of our systems.

What Open Lab Time is:
It is a time to be in our office working on your site. It gives a flexible time frame you will be able to use “off hours” from your own business. You will be able to work on your site, your blog, SEO, social media, or anything else you want to while having one of Evolve Systems’ technical staff standing by to ask technical questions on the software platforms.
If you have questions specifically relating to SEO and Social Media, please mention this explicitly when you sign up for Open Lab Time. This will allow us to have helpful materials prepared and ready for your arrival.
What Open Lab Time is not:
Our technicians are not there to program your website. We will be there to assist you, not do the work for you. If you want to post to your blog, and you just don’t have the time during the day, this is a great time for you to get this done, and we can help you post a picture, or help you hyperlink to another site, etc. On the other hand, if you are looking for help to learn how to code a Java script that will make a call to an API you have been wanting to integrate, this session is not designed to meet your needs. Think of this opportunity as time you can use while having a programmer available to ask questions to.
 We have space for 6 people at a time, it is recommended you register for the Lab time to ensure you have a working station. You are free to spend as much time as you would like, but preference will be given to individuals who have registered.
Open Lab Time is available to our customers only. If you would like to bring an assistant with for creative ideas, or someone who is learning the system that would like some extra hand holding, no worries - they would be welcome. We ask that you follow a few simple rules, please.
- A backup of your site should be made prior to starting any work being done. Instructions are found here
- Food and drink are not allowed in the lab.
- There is no printing support. All the computers are on a discrete network, and not attached to the Evolve Systems network.
- Please do not ask off duty programmers or technicians for help. Direct all questions to the lab assistant on duty.
- Please do not plan on downloading materials to our laptops.
- Please attend one of our Training Sessions before coming to an Open Lab Time.
