What’s the difference between a live and a launched site?
Live means that the site has been moved from the production server to the hosting server. You can no longer make preparatory changes and our team will make no further changes for this phase of the project. The DNS has not yet been pointed so the general public does not have access to the site, but the site is in its finished (as far as the project goes) state.
Launched means that the DNS has been pointed and the general public now has access to the site. A new username and password have been sent to you. The project is complete and all future work will be tracked as a separate project and needs to be submitted through our Help Desk. We will close the project out of our Project Management System. Additional projects can be considered billable time, as they are no longer part of the initial build.
When do I need to make a decision on what email address I want?
We ask for a list of all the e-mail addresses at the beginning of the site build. All final e-mail account requests must be submitted one week prior to the site going live, as it will take 24-48 hours to populate.
Why do I have to use the Project Management System?
There are a lot of people involved in the creation of your site—your sales representative, a project manager, several technicians, and possibly a graphic artist and copywriter, not to mention several people from your company. The PM is a wonderful tool that keeps all communication in the same place and accessible to the entire team. While e-mails can get lost, the PM keeps everything in a central location. It also ensures that we are all working with the most current information. Approved content files and graphics can be loaded directly into the PM as well.
Do I need to buy software from you?
No, the administrative panel of the CMS is an online application that can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. You pay a one-time fee for a license to use the CMS tool, but you don’t need to download software that takes up space on your computer and you aren’t restricted to making updates from a single computer.

Can you help me source photos for my website?
Yes! After getting a feel for your business through our audit and strategy sessions, we will determine which photos your website needs. If you already have pictures readily available, we can use those! If you don’t have photos and need help finding some, our designer can source paid stock images for you. This will be priced accordingly.
I already have an established brand. Will my website provide a consistent look?
Yes, we will make sure your brand and new site align. Having an established brand will actually help get your project going faster since it will give our designer a starting point for when they go to pick a website template.

How much programming experience do I need to manage my site?
Absolutely none! We provide two initial training sessions where you will learn how to manage your website. You can replace images, text, and headlines, or add and delete pages without knowing any HTML or fancy computer lingo. All of the text on your pages can be edited in an easy-to-use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that looks and acts a lot like Microsoft Word. We also provide ongoing training and online databases to help you use your site effectively.
Will my current site experience downtime during the web refresh?
No, as we build and update your new site, your current site will not be affected or experience downtime.
How long will it take for my new site to launch?
This changes based on each clients’ individual needs. Once our Project Manager determines the scope of your project, we will be able to give you a more accurate timeline for the steps of your project.
